AT A GLANCE:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of San Francisco men's soccer team travels to Louisville to take on No. 4 seeded University of Louisville in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

USF (10-8) beat Cal in a rematch of their regular season matchup, 2-1, on Thursday in a wet and rainy shootout to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In the second half, the Dons went down within a matter of seconds, but responded with two unanswered goals to take down the Golden Bears. Senior Bryce Kaminski scored the first for the Dons, blasting a shot from just inside the box. Junior Sean Bowman scored his team-high 10th goal of the season, one timing a cross from Leon Schwarzer into the back of the net. With the win over Cal, USF has now won seven straight matches, and nine wins in their last 10 matches.

Louisville (11-2-4) comes into Sunday's contest having last played on Nov. 5 in a penalty shootout loss to the University of Virginia in the ACC Championships. With an undefeated record on the road, it has been their home field that has provided the blemishes on their season record. Louisville's attack is led by senior forward Mohamed Thiaw, leading the Cardinals in goals (8), while tied atop the team statistics in points (17). The duo redshirt freshmen Jake Gelnovatch and Will Meyer have shared the goalkeeping duties this season. Meyer, having played in eight games, boasts a 0.53 goals against average. While Gelnovatch, having played 10 games, maintains a 0.77 goals against average.

This is the first time since 1994 that the Dons have advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The winner of this match will move on to the third round of the NCAA Tournament to face the winner of Michigan vs. Colgate, date and time to be announced.
