SAN FRANCISCO – The Dons face a pair of Pac-12 opponents this week, heading down to The Farm to play at No.5-Stanford on Friday, September 15 and a home match against Cal on Sunday, September 17.

USF picked up its first win of the season last weekend in the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central Tournament, beating host San Diego State, 2-1, in overtime.Â
Jorge Ruiz's goal in the 84
th minute tied the game up, 1-1, and
Bryce Kaminski's game-winning header in the 94
th minute helped the Dons defeat the Aztecs.Â

In the second game of the tournament, the Dons were held scoreless by Cal State Fullerton and lost, 3-0.

- USF will be playing its fourth top-25 team this regular season when it plays No. 5-Stanford.  The Dons have already played against No.21-UCLA, No.4-Indiana and No.17 Butler.
- Sunday's match agianst Cal is only the second home game for the Dons this season, its first since the season opener against UCLA on August 26.
- The last time the Dons started the season with five losses against one win was in 2008 when it finished the season winning eight of the last 13 games to finish first in the West Coast Conference and advance to the NCAA Tournament. Â
