SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco men's soccer team makes it home debut Thursday night against San Jose State at 7 p.m., followed by a Sunday afternoon matchup against UNLV at 2 p.m.

ABOUT SAN FRANCISCO 

  • The Dons are 0-3-0
  • Last weekend, USF fell to CSUN on the road, 0-6.
  • The Dons recorded eight shot attempts and two on goal against CSUN, led by Sandro Bradara (2), Ashish Chattha (2), Cameron Martin (1), Jake Serpa (1), Nathan Simeon (1) and Haakon Aase (1).
  • The Dons have totaled 14 shots and three on goal. 
  • Goalkeeper Ruben Stuiver records 21 saves - the most he has caught in the first three matches in his career.
  • Last season, the Dons fell to San Jose State, 1-4 on the road. 
  • USF and UNLV's last meeting was on Sept. 11, 2011, when the Dons defeated the Rebels 2-1 on the road. 

ABOUT SAN JOSE STATE

  • San Jose State are 0-4-0 overall.
  • The Spartans kicked off their week versus No. 8 Saint Mary's and fell 2-5. Danny Sanchez scored his first goal of the season and it was also the first goal allowed by the Gaels. The Spartans also faced losses to Sacramento State, Pacific and Santa Clara.
  • Four different Spartans have scored a goal this season: Eduardo Buenfil, Rudy Castro, Suliman Khorami, and Danny Sanchez
  • San Jose State attempted 44 shots and 21 on goal as it is led by Rudy Castro (9), Max Allen (8), and Eduardo Buenfil (6), while 10 other Spartans recorded a shot or more.

ABOUT UNLV

  • UNLV are 1-3-0 overall
  • The Rebels' first victory of the season came on Monday against Omaha, Nebraska, 3-1, on the road. UNLV fell to UC Santa Brabara in double overtime (1-2), San Diego State (2-3) and Drake (3-4).
  • Before visiting the Hilltop the Rebels will head to Pacific on Friday.
  • Freshman forward Bryan Martinez-Serrano leads the team with three goals followed by redshirt-freshman defender Nick Williams who has two. Nico Clasen, Bailey Letherman, Timo Mehlich and Marco Gonzalez record a goal a peice. The Rebels have taken 54 shots and 19 on goal as it is led by Mehlich (12) Gonzalez (10), Bryan Martinez-Serrano (8) and Clasen (7).
  • Goalkeepers Lukas Betz and Enrique Adame are combined for 79 shots faced. Adame saved 12 shots on goal and Betz secured seven.
