Men's Soccer Drops Season Finale at Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The USF Dons' men's soccer team (2-13-1, 0-6-1) fell short in their season finale tonight on the road against the Portland Pilots (10-6-1, 4-2-1) 1-0 on Saturday at Menlo Field. The match wrapped up the 2021 Dons' soccer season as the program now looks ahead to the future.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
  • The Pilots got off to a fast start on offense as R.J. Stretch netted their first and only goal of the night at the 11' mark Saturday evening.
  • Throughout the first half, the Dons' defense remained stout as they didn't allow any more goals despite most of the first half being played on USF's side of the field.
  • USF's offense picked up in the second half of action as they out shot the Pilots six-to-three in the final 45 minutes of action.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
  • Freshman goalkeeper Brandon Keninston wrapped up his first season on the Hilltop with three saves on Saturday evening.
  • Nathan Simeon and Tamba Di Mattia recorded both of USF's two shots on goal against Portland.
