Dons Prepare to Take on Lions for Senior NIght

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Competing in their final home match, the University of San Francisco men's soccer team (7-3-5, 1-2-2) takes on No. 20 Loyola Marymount (7-2-6, 2-1-2) on Senior Night at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Negoesco Stadium.

DONS AT A GLANCE: 

  • In San Francisco's previous time on the pitch, the Dons outshot Saint Mary's, with Max Chretien and Gabriel Bracken Serra leading with three shots each. The Dons fended off the Gaels until the second half when Saint Mary's scored three goals to secure the game.

  • Defending the net, Massimo Oedekoven Pomponi continues to lead the Lions defensively, accumulating 55 saves and a save percentage of .821.

SERIES HISTORY: 

  • Since 2005, the Dons and Lions have met 24 times on the pitch, with the Lions currently leading the head-to-head series 13-9-2. 
  • Notably, the Dons secured a win in the 2017 season, earning a 2-1 victory at Negoesco Stadium.
  • Most recently, the Lions defeated the Dons 3-0 at Sullivan Field during the 2022 season.
