SPOKANE, Wash./SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Continuing conference play with two more crucial matches, the University of San Francisco men's soccer team (2-5-2, 1-0 WCC) will travel north to face Gonzaga (6-4-2, 0-2 WCC) on Wednesday, Oct. 9 before hosting Portland (2-4-4, 0-0-1 WCC) on Sunday, Oct. 13 for a midday matchup at Negoesco Stadium.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Last time out, San Francisco blanked Pacific, 2-0, on Sunday, Sept. 29 as the Dons tallied their second straight win. With the victory, the green and gold moved to 2-0-2 at home on the Hilltop this fall.
- Isaiah Easley earned WCC Offensive Player of the Week honors after tallying five points and two goals during the week of Sept. 23. First, the Clemson transfer recorded his first goal as a Don in San Francisco's 4-0 shutout of San José State that Monday before netting another goal in the win over Pacific. Notably, the forward also added an assist in each match. Overall, Easley currently leads the team in shots with 20, good for fifth in the conference.
- As a team, the Dons have recorded 146 shots over their nine games played as they lead the conference in average shots per game with 16.22. Individually, Gabriel Bracken Serra has had at least one shot in every match this season, including a season-high shots against Pacific.
- Stepping in for Eric Waltz, William Krause has been a force in goal for San Francisco as the sophomore has tallied with five saves while earning two shutouts across his first two collegiate starts.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
- Gonzaga is still looking for its first conference win of the campaign as the Bulldogs fell first to LMU, 1-0, on Sept. 28 before dropping their match to No.13 San Diego, 2-1, on Oct. 4. Notably, GU's last victory came in a 2-1 thriller against No. 9 Seattle U on Sept. 12.
- As a team, Gonzaga currently ranks second in the WCC in goals with 23 total over 12 matches played. Offensively, the Bulldogs are led by Chris Swider, who ranks fourth in the conference in goals (5) heading into the new week.
- Chema Preciado has been key for Gonzaga in goal as he leads the conference in saves with 44. Last week, the goalkeeper recorded a season-high of seven saves in back-to-back games against both the Lions and Toreros.
SCOUTING THE PILOTS:
- Last week, Portland faced Santa Clara in their conference opener on Oct. 4 as the Pilots and Broncos finished in a scoreless tie despite UP outshooting SCU, 17-8.
- Making their mark early on, Nick Fernandez and Alex Waggoner come into the week tied for second in the conference in shots with 22 each. As a team, the Pilots are second overall with 156 shots this fall.
- In addition to Fernandez and Waggoner, Sebastian Nava has been an offensive threat for the Pilots as he leads the team in overall points (7) from the strength of two goals and three assists. Overall, Nava has recorded 20 shots so far this season, with eight coming on frame.
- Utilizing three different players in goal this season, Kash Oladapo (7 games), Miguel-Angel Hernandez (3 games) and Drew Hartman (1) have all seen time in the cage for Portland so far. Overall, Oladop has tallied the most saves (21) out of the trio while also logging the most minutes (630:00) on the pitch.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Since 2005, San Francisco leads the head-to-head series against Gonzaga with a record of 13-7-4. In their previous matchup, the two teams ended in a scoreless draw on Oct. 7, 2023 in San Francisco. In their last matchup in Spokane, the teams finished in a 1-1 draw.
- Since 2005, Portland leads the head-to-head series against San Francisco with a record of 15-7-2 overall. In their most recent match, the Pilots topped the Dons, 2-0, in Portland on Nov. 11, 2023. Notably, UP also defeated the green and gold, 1-0, in their last meeting in San Francisco on Oct. 8, 2022.
