SACRAMENTO/DAVIS, Calif. - The University of San Francisco men's soccer team (0-3-2) wraps up their stretch of road games this week as the Dons will travel to the Central Valley for matchups at Sacramento State (0-4) and UC Davis (2-1-1) this weekend.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Last week San Francisco faced their first ranked opponent of the season, No. 11 Seattle U, as the green and gold fell on the road, 3-2, in a hard-fought match. Despite the loss, the Dons outshot the Redhawks 25-7, including a 10-4 advantage in shots on target.
- Continuing to be a threat on offense, Gabriel Bracken Serra logged his second goal against Seattle U last week as the midfielder became the first Don to record more than one goal this season. Notably, he leads the team in shots on goal (5) heading into Thursday night.
- Looking to find some momentum offensively as the season moves along, San Francisco currently sits third in the West Coast Conference in total shots (80) as of Wednesday, Sept. 11.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS:
- Through their first four games, the Hornets are still searching for their first victory of the fall as they most recently fell, 1-0, on the road at San Diego State on Friday, Sept. 6.
- Hungry for some offensive chemistry, Ethan Kelly and Donovan Sessoms are the lone Hornets to net goals so far this season. Additionally, Sessoms and Axel Ramirez are currently tied for the team lead with six shots each going into Thursday.
- In the cage, Mac Learned has played all 360 minutes for Sacramento State this year as he has made 20 saves across four matches to go along with a .741 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES:
- Davis has won their last two games by a score of 2-1 in response to earning a loss and draw in their first week of games. Leading the team to their first win of the season against Santa Clara on Aug. 31, Keegan Walwyn-Bent scored a brace to give the Aggies an early lead in the match. Overall, the forward has tallied a team-high eight shots so far this season.
- Overall, Walwyn-Bent and Cason Goodman lead the team with two goals each on the campaign. Additionally, Walwyn-Bent also leads the team in total shots (8) while Goodman leads in shots on goal (5).
- Most recently, Zachary Neuls was awarded Big West Freshman of the Week following his game-winning goal, which also happened to be his first collegiate goal, in UC Davis' 2-1 victory at Oregon State on Sunday, Sept. 8.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Dating back to 2011, San Francisco currently holds a 4-3 lead in the head-to-head series, including three straight wins over Sacramento State. Last time out, the Dons downed the Hornets, 1-0, at Negoesco Stadium on Sept. 17, 2023. Notably, the green and gold also defeated Sacramento State, 2-1, in their last matchup in Sacramento on Sept. 22, 2022.
- Dating back to 2012, UC Davis currently holds a 4-1-3 lead in the head-to-head series. Last year, the Dons and Aggies tied 2-2 at Negoesco Stadium on Sept. 14, 2023. Notably, San Francisco fell to UC Davis, 4-1, in their last matchup in Davis on Sept. 22, 2021.
