Travis Myernick

Travis Myernick joined the USF men's soccer coaching staff as associate head coach on April 20, 2017. Myernick, a native of Colorado Springs, comes to USF after spending four seasons at Old Dominion University and brings a total of eight years of Division I coaching experience to his new role.

While at Old Dominion, Myernick served as an assistant where he played a key role in recruiting, planning training sessions, and administrative duties. Myernick also served as the assistant camp director for the Dominion Soccer Academy and was instrumental in the operational duties aside from his on-field coaching responsibilities.

During his four years at ODU, the Monarchs advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2013 and 2014 and were ranked as high as No. 9 nationally in 2015. Myernick helped guide the Monarchs to a Conference USA tournament championship in 2014 and helped coach 22 student-athletes who earned all-conference honors, including a pair of Major League Soccer draft picks.

Prior to coaching at Old Dominion, Myernick served as an assistant coach at Rider University during the 2011 and 2012 seasons where he was part of a coaching staff that helped the team qualify for the MAAC tournament for the first time in four years, while doubling the team's win total from the previous season prior to his arrival.

Myernick also spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant at Wake Forest in 2009 and 2010 where he oversaw camp operations and equipment, while taking on significant roles in recruiting visits and planning and execution of training. The Demon Deacons earned a College Cup berth during Myernick's first season on the staff and had four student-athletes selected in the first round of the MLS draft during his time with the team.

A 2002 graduate of Horizon High School in Thornton, Colo., Myernick earned his bachelor's in sport management in 2006 from Wingate University.
