In its first season of Intercollegiate Cross-Country competition, the Dons Cross Country team showed great promise. In lack of spite the lack of experience, it defeated Chico State and represented USF well against other colleges. Beginning only last year under Mr. John Fry, Cross Country is the newest sport on campus. This year's team, bolstered by returning Pete League, Tom Sweet, and Rich  Scholl, gained a new coach, Mr. Riley Sutoff. With its greater experience and improved runners, the Cross-Country team has a bright future (TheDon).
