John J. Quinn was a native of San Francisco, and graduated in 1950 in English. He was a member of the College Players and the Quarterly staff. He served in the U.S. Navy.
All-American Al Crow and Bob Docter emerged winners in the annual re-entry rifle matches which ended last week. Crow's victory was his second in as many years in the Open Match for former prize-winners. Bob Docter, a newcomer to the Hilltop from Nebraska, won the Novice Match for beginners.
