John Andrzejek served one year as USF’s director of basketball operations after serving in a similar capacity at Columbia for the previous two seasons.
In his role, Andrzejek played an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Dons’ basketball program. His areas of responsibilities included non-conference scheduling, budget oversight, advance scouting, team travel, community outreach initiatives and academic monitoring. Andrzejek also took a lead role in performance analytics and served as the director for USF’s summer basketball camps.
Andrzejek has also served as the director of basketball operations with the East Coast USA All-Star team for the last two seasons, where he has led a group of players from Syracuse, Kansas, Iowa, South Carolina, Notre Dame and Columbia on international tours to France, Italy, Estonia and Finland.
He also serves on the board of directors for Group Stats, the nation’s fastest growing college basketball analytics company.
A native of Hamilton, NY, Andrezjek graduated from Colombia in just two and a half years with a degree in philosophy. As an undergraduate, he served as the Lions’ team manager for two seasons before being promoted to director of basketball operations in July of 2014.
Andrezjek attended Hamilton (N.Y.) High School where he played basketball, football and baseball. He was a starter on the 2009 Knights’ team which reached the semifinals of the New York State Championship. He currently resides in San Francisco.
