(San Francisco) – San Francisco men's soccer lost its first home West Coast Conference match of the season in agonizing fashion 0:36 into the first overtime session to Loyola Marymount on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Negeosco Stadium. The Dons (6-7-2, 4-3-1 WCC) dominated for most of the game, but simply could not find the back of the net as the Lions (6-9-1, 4-3-1 WCC) complete the season series sweep.
San Francisco fired a flurry of shots, finishing with 19 on the afternoon compared to just eight for LMU. Craig Nitti broke the deadlock in the 91st minute off an assist from Tyler Krumpe, handing the Dons their first overtime loss of the season.
"I am proud of the way this young team competed today," USF head coach Erik Visser said. "I felt we dominated most of the game, but we just could not finish. I am pleased with the way they bounced back after an outstanding performance on Friday night. They did not let up. Now we must focus on Santa Clara in Wednesday."

Junior goalkeeper Brendan Roslund (6-6-2) suffered the loss after 90 shutout minutes and made three saves. LMU's Jack McCormack (3-7-0) collected the shutout win and was stout, making nine saves.
