Just the Facts, Ma'am
  • San Francisco embarks on its second road trip of the season, to start a three-game road swing that carries over through the first week of December. In USF's first game away from War Memorial, the Dons lost a heartbreaker to Cal State Fullerton so the team looks to even the season road record against Sacramento State.
  • The Hornets enter the game on a two game high after most recently ousting Utah Valley 74-62 on Nov. 20 at home. The common opponents battle goes to Sacramento State, who picked up a 94-75 win at Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 11.

In It to Win It

  • USF's 3-2 start is the best beginning of a season since the Jennifer Azzi era began in 2010-11.  For the senior class, The 3-2 record equals their freshman year start, when the team maintained a .500 record for the first eight games before finishing 6-29 overall.

Know the Foe

  • Sacramento State (2-2) is hosting its second home game of the season after starting out with a three-game road trip. After hosting USF the Hornets hit the road yet again, this time for five contests that take the team through Christmas.
  • The Hornets are led by a pair of double-digit scoring guards in Alle Moreno (17.0 ppg) and Fantasia Hilliard (13.5 ppg). Moreno's points per game rank second in the Big Sky Conference in the early goings of the season.
  • Kylie Kuhns is the team's leading glass crasher with a double-double average of 11.3 points and 10.5 rebounds a game. Kuhns set the school rebounding record during Sacramento State's last outing where she sits at 934 career rebounds.

USF and Sacramento State – The Series

  • This will be the 10th meeting in the series between USF and Sacramento State, with the Dons holding a 5-4 overall advantage. In last season's outing in San Francisco, USF picked up an 86-71 win led by former players Vania Singleterry (22 pts, 10 reb), Rheina Ale (18 ppg, 11 rpg) and Katy Keating (18 ppg, 6 rpg).
  • Previous to last season's victory, USF had lost the last two against the Hornets, dropping 77-74 and 106-88 decisions.

Boise State Remix

  • USF's wire-to-wire win against the Broncos was the first of the season. The Dons led by as many as 20 points midway through the first half, the largest lead of the season thus far.
  • Senior Mel Khlok's six three-pointers tied her career record and was one shy of the school record of seven set in 1992 (Amy Touli) and duplicated in 1997 (Andrea Kagie). She finished 6-of-13 from three and 6-of-7 from the line to notch a season-high 26 points.

Dogged Defense

  • The Dons are leading the West Coast Conference in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to 33.3 percent shooting on the season. This mark sets USF in 39th in the nation and just above Tennessee on the list.
