SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team heads to Portland this Saturday for a 7 p.m., contest against the Pilots. This will be the last regular season game for both teams. Portland plays one more game prior to hosting USF, at Santa Clara on Friday.
Both teams are looking to finish up the season on a positive note. The Dons (7-7-4, 2-4-1 WCC) are coming off a huge 2-2 Rivalry Week tie vs. the No. 17 Santa Clara Broncos. It was the first contest in nearly three decades in which the Dons earned points against the Broncos. The Pilots (10-4-4, 4-1-2 WCC) are ranked second in the West Coast Conference with 13 points thus far. Previous to the Friday night tie, the team was riding a four-game winning streak, and sport a 5-4-2 home record. The Dons are 2-5-1 on the road. This will be the first matchup this season for both programs.

Jim Millinder is prepared for a tough test against a probable national tournament bound team.
“I think Portland has a rich tradition with their women's soccer program. I think this year is no different. They are a very talented group of players with tremendous team balance. They have many attacking weapons who can hurt you. They are on their way once again to the NCAA tournament it will be a great challenge for us to get a result in Portland we will have to play our best soccer of the year there."
USF - BY THE NUMBERS:

The Dons have been great in goal, leading the West Coast Conference in saves with 121. The Green and Gold have only allowed 22 goals all season and own a goals-against average of 1.16. Both of these marks rank fifth in the conference.

Specifically, senior forward turned goalkeeper Megan Connor stepped up big when the team got hit hard by injuries at the position. She has 52 saves, a 1.38 goals against average, an .839 save percentage and two shutouts.

Sophomore forward Mackenzie Krieser leads the team in points (20) and goals (9). She has five game-winning goals on the season to lead the conference. She is tied for fourth in the WCC in points and owns third place in goals on the season.

Sophomore defender/midfielder Abigail Phillips and junior midfielder Christina Moberg have been keys to setting things up for the offense. The pair have combined for seven assists this year.

As a team, the Pilots have been a force on offense. They rank second in the WCC in goals scored with 34 and third in the conference in assists with 28.

Junior forward Amanda Frisbie leads the way on the attack with 28 points (first, WCC), 11 goals (first, WCC) and six assists (fifth, WCC). She has three game-winning goals this season.

Junior forward Kaila Cameli has 16 points and eight goals on the season. Her goal tally ranks fifth in the conference.

Junior midfielder Michelle Cruz has 11 points, three goals and five assists for the Pilots.

Junior goalkeeper Erin Dees has 58 saves, a save percentage of .784 and a goals-against average of 1.08, good for fourth in the WCC.
