USF WELCOMES No. 24 GONZAGA: USF wraps up a challenging weekend when it hosts defending West Coast Conference Champion Gonzaga Saturday, February 18 on the Hilltop. Game time against the Bulldogs is set for 5:00 PM in a game televised live by Comcast SportsNet California. USF Athletics and Dons Basketball will celebrate "Bill Cartwright Appreciation Night", honoring the Dons All-American and six-time NBA Champion.
GAME PROMOTION: The first 750 students entering USF's game vs. No. 24 Gonzaga will receive a free Bill Cartwright replica jersey
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE DONS: USF dropped a tough 85-84 decision to BYU Thursday night. Senior forward Angelo Caloiaro had a team-high 23 points and junior forward Perris Blackwell added a 18-point, 11-rebound double-double for the Dons.
MOVING ON UP: Senior forward Angelo Caloiaro enters Saturday's game vs. No. 24 Gonzaga ranked No. 19 on the USF career scoring list with 1,206 points (9.9 ppg). Next up is 3-point marksman Ali Thomas (1997-01) with 1,237 (10.5).
MOVING ON UP II: Junior guard Michael Williams enters Saturday's game vs. No. 24 Gonzaga ranked No. 38 on the USF career scoring list with 911 points (10.8). Senior guard Rashad Green is at No. 40 with 899 (10.2). Next up for Green is Naismith Hall-of-Famer K.C. Jones (1951-56) at 901 points.

- USF has won two of the last five against Gonzaga, both overtime wins. The Dons downed the Zags 96-91 Jan. 22 at War Memorial Gym behind a career-high 23 points from freshman Cody Doolin.
- USF's last win in Spokane came in a 67-64 triumph at the Martin Centre (2/10/89). Current Dons Radio analyst was the head coach for San Francisco.

SCOUTING No. 24 GONZAGA: The Bulldogs enter the penultimate week of West Coast Conference play with a 21-4 overall record and a 11-2 league slate after taking a 73-62 win Thursday against Santa Clara at the Leavey Center. The defending WCC Champions for more than a decade, Gonzaga is right back in the hunt for another title this season. The Bulldogs posted a 10-2 non-conference record with their only losses coming to NCAA Tournament stalwarts Illinois (82-75) and Michigan State (74-67). Freshman guard Kevin Pangos leads the way for the Zags offensively at 13.7 points per game, while junior Elias Harris adds 12.9 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds. Mark Few is in his 13th year as the head coach and owns a remarkable 336-87 record. Few has guided the Zags into 12 straight NCAA Tournaments and 11 WCC Championships. Gonzaga posted a 25-10 record, 11-3 in league play last season.
DONS COLLECT VICTORY NO. 500 AT WAR MEMORIAL: San Francisco's 85-69 victory against Santa Clara (2/9/12) at War Memorial Gym was program win No. 500 in the "House That Russell Built". Constructed for the 1958-59 season, War Memorial Gym celebrated its 50th anniversary season in 2008-09 and the Dons have posted 24 home wins since the start of 2010-11 season.
