Dons now set sights on WCC Championships
U.S. Intercollegiate Final Results
STANFORD, Calif. -- USF shot a final round 282 (+1) on Saturday to finish fourth at the U.S. Intercollegiate held at Stanford Golf Course.
The Dons finished the 54-hole event with a team score of 841 (+1), two strokes behind third place Saint Mary's (839; -1).
Stanford won the event with a team score of 817 (-23), six shots clear of second place TCU (823; -17).
TCU's Paul Barjon shot a final round 67 (-3) to earn medalist honors with a score of 199 (-11). Patrick Rodgers of Stanford finished second at 202 (-8) after turning in an even par 70 over the final 18 holes on his home course.
Three USF players - Seb Crookall-Nixon, Taylor Travis and Cory McElyea - earned top-10 finishes.
Crookall-Nixon shot a final round one-under 69 to finish at 207 for the tournament, good for a tie for sixth place. His round was higlighted by three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 seventh hole.
Travis and McElyea tied for ninth place at one-under 209. Travis made four birdies en route to a final round 69 while McElyea made birdies on the first and third holes en route to a 72.
Jobim Carlos tied for 62nd at 220 (+10) after shooting a 76 on Saturday, while Emil Liljeroth shot a final round 72 to tie for 86th at 226 (+16).
The Dons will return to action on April 15, when USF opens play at the West Coast Conference Championships in Bremerton, Wash.
