STOCKTON, Calif. – A night after mounting one of the most dramatic comeback wins in school history, the San Francisco Dons were unable to maintain the momentum from their comeback win over San Diego, falling 2-0 to the Toreros in the WCC Baseball Championship game at Banner Island Ballpark.

Christian Cecilio was solid for USF, allowing two runs in 6.2 innings of work.

The Dons were unable to do anything offensively against San Diego starter Troy Conyers, managing just three singles in the complete-game shutout.

Derek Atkinson, Justin Maffei and Josh Miller were named to the all-tournament team.

USF finishes the season with a 34-22 record and a 17-10 conference mark, including the postseason. The Dons won 20 games on the road, a mark surpassed by only a handful of Division I teams.

USF will leave its NCAA tournament fate to the tournament's selection committee, which will announce its selections for the regional round on Monday at 9 a.m. PDT.
