TIP-OFF: USF (11-8, 4-3 WCC) looks to snap a two-game losing streak tonight as the Dons play host to the University of San Diego Toreros (11-8, 2-4 WCC) in a West Coast Conference game at Memorial Gymnasium. USF dropped a 83-76 decision to BYU on Thursday night while San Diego picked up a 69-66 road victory over Santa Clara. Tonight's game is being streammed on TheW.tv.
SERIES HISTORY: USF leads the all-time series with San Diego, 37-34. The two teams split last year's season series with each winning on the other's home floor. San Diego claimed a 70-66 victory on the Hilltop on Jan. 10 only to see the Dons comeback to post a 83-70 win on Feb. 28 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The two schools have meet eight times in WCC Championship play, with the Toreros holding a 6-2 advantage.
LAST YEAR'S GAMES VS. SAN DIEGO: San Diego snapped a six-game losing streak to USF with a 70-66 victory in Memorial Gym on Jan. 10. The Toreros shot 60.7 percent and canned eight three-pointers in the first half and raced to a 46-32 lead at intermission. USF cut the lead to 53-52 with a 20-7 run and trailed by just two points with possession and under a minute to play. However, Cody Doolin's potential go-ahead three-pointer missed its mark with :22 left and San Diego finished the Dons off at the foul line. USF was outrebounded 34-27. Doolin and

Mark Tollefsen (19) combined for 43 points in USF's wire-to-wire 83-70 victory over the Toreros. USF raced out to an 18-2 lead and led by as many as 19 points in fir first half. the Dons shot a season-best 60 percent from the field to post their third consecutive win.
LAST TIME OUT: USF dropped its second consecutive game Thursday night, falling to BYU 83-76 inside Memorial Gymnasium.
Cole Dickerson had 26 points and a season-high 14 rebounds to pace four Dons in double-figures. However, USF committed 16 turnovers that led to 19 BYU points and watched as the Cougars knocked down 28-of-37 free throws. A tightly contested first half saw 10 lead changes before the Dons took a 37-34 decision into the break. BYU was nursing a 51-50 lead wit 12:28 left before going on a 12-4 run to seize control of the game. Kyle Collinsworth had 19 points to pace five Cougars in double-figures.
