Just the Facts, Ma'am
The University of San Francisco women's basketball team continues a four-game road swing looking to split the season series with Portland. The Dons are looking to halt a six-game slide in WCC competition.
What 2 Watch 4
Posting a 6-6 overall record away from the Hilltop, the Dons hope to continue its early-season road momentum through the Pacific Northwest.

Know the Foe - Portland
Jim Sollars, who is in his 28th year as head coach of the Pilots, will retire following the 2013-14 season. He ranks second all-time in WCC wins (168) and he's been named league coach of the year ?ve times.
Cassandra Brown's 14.5 points per night paces the Pilots with Kari Luttinen (13.0 ppg) and Jasmine Wooton (12.5 ppg) helping the Portland offense.
San Diego Remix
USF opened the game with the lead, hoping to nab the first win by a visiting team at Jenny Craig Pavilion this season. However, plagued by turnovers – both forced and unforced – the Dons dropped the early lead and eventually the game, 76-58. With the win, the Toreros stand at 13-0 on the season at home and extended their streak, dating back to last year, to 18 games.
The Dons were paced by 14 points and a 10-of-12 effort from the line and two assists for Zhané Dikes. Rachel Howard posted 13 points, and Taylor Proctor's seven rebounds led the team.

When the Dons and Pilots met Jan. 19, at War Memorial Gym, USF had a seven-point lead midway through the second half. Portland went on a 12-0 run to take the lead, which was never relinquished.
In that first meeting between the Dons and Pilots, Luttinen finished as the game's leading scorer with 23 points. USF outshot Portland 44 to 35 percent, hitting five more shots from the field. But the difference was seen as the Pilots went 11-of-32 from 3-point range and 25-of-28 from the line in the come-from-behind win at War Memorial Gym.

Devine's Dimes
"It's hard to believe this will be the last time Jim Sollars coaches Portland in a regular season game against the Dons. Â Jim has done it all, seen it all, and loved it when it comes to coaching college basketball. Â He's built champions on shoestring budgets and earned the respect of other coaches, players, fans, media members, and anyone who's ever been lucky enough to see him coach!" - play-by-play broadcaster George Devine, on Jim Sollers
On the Horizon
USF closes out its four-game road swing against the conference leaders, Gonzaga, Saturday at 2 p.m. The Dons will seek their first win in Spokane since 2006.
