  • Improved to 17-10 overall and 10-5 in the West Coast Conference after defeating Saint Mary's Thursday night, 73-62...win snapped a 17-game losing streak to the Gaels dating back to the 2005-06 season.
  • Enter Saturday's game alone in third place in the WCC standings one half game behind second place BYU (19-10, 11-5 WCC) and three games behind first place Gonzaga (23-5, 13-2).
  • With 17 wins, the Dons have surpassed their win total (15) from last season...have also won three more conference games than all of last season when the team finished 7-9 in WCC play...have won 10 conference games for the second time under head coach Rex Walters (10-4 in 2010-11) and for just the second time since 1981-82.
  • Close out the regular season home schedule this afternoon against Pacific..are 12-5 at home this season.
  • Dons posted a 81-72 overtime victory over the Tigers earlier this season in Stockton and lead the all-time series, 61-34.
  • USF is 20-12 over the past four seasons in the month of February...went 5-2 in February last season.

TIP-OFF: USF (17-10, 10-5 WCC) plays its final home game of the regular season today as the Dons play host to the Pacific Tigers (14-12, 5-10 WCC). The Dons are coming off a 73-62 victory over Saint Mary's on Thursday while the Tigers fell at Santa Clara, 70-50. Today's game is being televised locally on CSNCA with Glen Kuiper and former USF head coach Dan Belluomini calling the action from courtside.

SERIES HISTORY: In a series that dates back to the 1911-12 season, USF leads the all-time series with Pacific, 61-34. USF posted a 81-72 overtime victory over the Tigers earlier this season in Stockton, however, Pacific has won 10 of the last 16 games in the series. Two of the charter members of the WCC, USF and Pacific met 44 times as conference foes from 1952-71, with the Dons holding a 30-14 advantage.

FIRST MEETING WITH PACIFIC: USF rallied from a 36-30 halftime deficit to defeat Pacific, 81-72 in overtime on Jan. 9 in Stockton. The Dons outscored the Tigers, 18-9 in the extra period to earn it third straight victory. Three Dons scored in double figures, led by Avry Holmes, who scored a career high 18 points to go along with eight assists. Matt Glover finished with 16 points and nine rebounds while Cole Dickerson chipped in 14 points to go along with eight rebounds. USF held Pacific to 31.6 percent shooting for the game, including 25 percent (9-for-36) after intermission.

LAST TIME OUT: Mark Tollefsen, Kruize Pinkins and Matt Glover each scored 16 points while Cole Dickerson added 12 to lead USF to a 73-72 victory over visiting Saint Mary's Thursday night, as the Dons snapped a 17-game losing streak to the Gaels. USF put forth one of its best defensive efforts of the season, holding the Gaels under the 70-point mark and to just 39.7 percent from the field. USF shot 50 percent from the field and had four players pull down five or more rebounds
