Just the Facts, Ma'am

The University of San Francisco women's basketball closes out its regular-season slate away from the Hilltop Saturday, seeking a season split with newest conference foe, Pacific.

What 2 Watch 4

The Dons head into Saturday's contest with three players producing at least 10 points per game. Taylor Proctor's 13.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game paces the Dons with Zhané Dikes (12.2 ppg) and Taj Winston (10.6 ppg, 1.7 spg) adding to the USF offense. In the second half of the WCC slate, the Dons are 2-4 facing opponents on the back half of the two-game season series.

Know the Foe - Pacific

Pacific's high-scoring offense is led by junior Kendall Kenyon, who averages a double-double of 16.6 points and 10.7 rebounds a game. She is helped offensively by two more double-digit scorers for the Tigers - KiKi Moore adds 15.0 points and 4.6 assists in her lone season for Pacific, and Madison Parrish puts up 11.4 points and 3.5 assists a night. The Tigers' 77.2 points per game is second in the WCC.

Saint Mary's  Remix

After a first half where points were plentiful, USF couldn't keep up the pace in the second only to fall to Saint Mary's 83-64.

The Dons and Gaels both shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, and Saint Mary's held but a two-point lead at the break. The hot-handed shooting for both could not be carried through in the second, however, as USF cooled to make only 26 percent of its second-half attempts. The Gaels, on the other hand, were 10-of-23 from the field and perfect from the stripe in the period to pull away for the victory.

On the Horizon

USF will enjoy its final week of the regular season at War Memorial Gym. The Dons are seeking season sweeps against L.A.-area opponents Pepperdine (Thursday at 7 p.m.) and Loyola Marymount (Saturday at 2 p.m.). During Saturday's contest, USF will honor its lone senior on the squad, Alexa Hardick.

In the first meeting between USF and Pacific, Taylor Proctor posted a career-high 29 points to go along with 10 rebounds to notch her first double-double of the season. But USF fell into an early deficit and couldn't recover from a 20-point halftime lead for the visitors.

Dishing and Swishing

Line it Up
USF has employed six different starting lineups on the season:
Dikes, Howard, Proctor, Spietz, Winston 4-7
Dikes, Howard, Price, Spietz, Winston 2-2
Gordon, Katuna, Price, Williams, Winston 1-0
Dikes, Gordon, Howard, Proctor, Spietz 0-2
Gordon, Howard, Proctor, Spietz, Stark 0-2
*Dikes, Hardick, Proctor, Spietz, Winston  2-4*
*indicates most recent starting five

All Roads Point North
The Dons have reversed last year's road woes, where the team finished 3-11 away from home in the 2012-13 regular season. This year, USF heads into its final road contest sporting a 7-8 mark away from the Hilltop with the opportunity to finish .500 with a win at Pacific.

Should the Dons complete the season winning half its road and neutral games, it would be a first since the 2002-03 season when USF finished 7-7 away from War Memorial Gym.

Peaking Spietz
Since USF's victory at Portland, Paige Spietz has been averaging 13.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per night. The redshirt junior from Brimfield, Ill., has started all but one game for the Dons and has controlled the opening tip in 17 of her 25 starts (68 percent).
