SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco men's basketball team had its most complete game on Friday evening, recording a convincing 74-61 win over the visiting Aggies of UC Davis. The Dons had four players score in double figures and shot a season-high 51 percent from the field, extending their winning streak to three games.
 
USF (6-3) trailed early, as the Dons struggled to find an opening in the Aggies tough defense.  UC Davis led for the initial 9:33 of the contest, going up by as much as six before Chase Foster hit the second of his four 3-point field goals to put the Dons out front 15-14 at the 9:35 mark. 
 
From there, the Dons went on a 15-6 run over the next 4:32 and never looked back.  USF's offense was firing on all cylinders on Friday evening, the Dons shot a season-high 51.0 percent from the field going 26-for-51, including a red-hot 10-for-22 (45.5 percent) from 3-point range.
 
Leading the way for USF was Frankie Ferrari, who tallied a career-high 19 points.  Ferrari went 5-for-10 from the field and was 2-for-5 from 3-point range, at the charity stripe he connected on 7-of-8 attempts.  He also dished out a game-high five assists.
 
Joining Ferrari in double figures was Foster who chipped in 17, going 6-for-11 from the floor and 4-for-5 from 3-point range.  Matt McCarthy and Jordan Ratinho added 12 apiece.  McCarthy grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.  Taavi Jurkatamm also grabbed seven boards and four steals in a stellar defensive performance.
 
The Dons defense was stifling, UC Davis was held to 61 points on the evening, their second lowest point total of the season.  Leading the Aggies in scoring was Siler Schneider who had 19 points.  Chima Moneke tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
 
GAME NOTES

• The Dons improve to 6-0 on the year when leading at the intermission.USF went into the break up 38-28.The 38 points was the most the Aggies have allowed to an opponent in the opening half.
• The Dons 51 percent shooting tops the previous season-high set against Sonoma State on Nov. 21. Tonight, the Dons shot 26-for-51.
• USF improves to 5-0 when scoring at least 74 points, the lone win of the season in which USF came away with the win while scoring less than 74 points came in the 69-56 win over Sacramento State on Nov. 17.
• The Dons outrebounded UC Davis 33-26 on the evening, USF is now 6-2 when outrebounding their opponents.Nine players grabbed at least one rebound on the evening.
• The Dons' bench was once again prolific.USF's reserves scored 31 points, outscoring the Aggies bench by 16. USF's bench has outscored its opponent in every game this season and has scored at least 25 points in all but one contest.

USF returns to the road, albeit a short trip, as the Dons travel to Stanford, Calif., to take on the Cardinal at Maples Pavilion on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.  Sunday's contest against Stanford will be televised nationwide on ESPNU.
