THE RUNDOWN
SAN FRANCISCO - In the Dons third match of the week, they fell to Gonzaga (9-7, 4-0) in five sets on Saturday afternoon at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. The USF volleyball team showed a great deal of promise in the opening two frames, registering a .538 attack percentage and holding the visitors to a .050 percentage. However, the Bulldogs were able to battle back to win three sets in a row and win the match.Â
STATS OF THE GAME
- Carly Lowry led all hitters with 15 kills.
- Erica Ronda had 12 kills, her 13th match with double-digit kills.Â
- Starting setter Erin Anthony earned her sixth double-double of the year with 45 assists and 10 digs.Â
- Anthony and Ronda each had three serve aces.
- Three Dons hit above 3.50, including Marjolijn Oskam (9), Laura Leap (8), and Nora Buvarp-Lavik (7).Â
- Oskam's nine kills came on a .400 attack percentage.
- As a team, the Dons out blocked the visitors 7-4.Â
- The Dons held the Bulldogs to a .050 attack percentage in the first set. In the same set, USF recorded their highest attack percentage in a set of the year (.538), only having one error in their 26 attempts amassing to 15 kills to Gonzaga's six.Â

After a long week two of West Coast Conference action, the Dons have a break until a they travel to Santa Clara for a Thursday evening match at 7 p.m.Â
