THIS WEEK'S GAMES
The Dons (13-14, 8-8 WCC) are looking to finish out the season strong against contenders Pacific (13-14, 7-9) and San Diego (15-12, 8-8). The Dons currently sit in a tie for fifth place with the Toreros, but the tiebreaker would go to the southern California team who have a better overall record. The Tigers are right below the Dons, in seventh place. Wins this week for all three teams are crucial.

Coach Goodenbour's squad had their three-game win streak snapped this past week as they fell to Saint Mary's and then were taken down by Loyola Marymount the following Saturday.

Looking at the competition, Pacific most recently fell to Santa Clara in a close battle, while San Diego defeated BYU on the road. It was a big win for the Toreros as BYU sits in third in the standings.

The Dons have four players averaging over 10-points per game and are led by Anna Seilund (14.9), Michaela Rakova (12.9), Shannon Powell (11.6) and Kalyn Simon (10.5) are also averaging double-digits in scoring. USF is tops in the WCC in three-pointers made (6.9) and second in defensive rebounding (28.3). Rakova (14.9 ppg, 10.0 rpg) is the team's top rebounder.

THE SERIES
USF leads the all-time series 22-17. The Dons got the best of the Tigers in the first meet this season, 81-71, in Stockton, Calif. The two teams split the series last season, 1-1. Pacific is 5-5 against the Dons since rejoining the WCC.

USF is 30-39 all-time against USF and lost the meeting earlier this season, 54-60.

UP NEXT
It's tournament time. The Dons will travel to the WCC Championship Tournament in Las Vegas next Wednesday. Their game times and opponents have not yet been announced. Stay tuned on usfdons.com for more information to follow.
