The University of San Francisco men's basketball team is back on the road and looking to avenge an earlier loss at the hands of BYU when they take on the Cougars on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. PST at the Marriott Center. The game will be televised on NBC Sports California with Dave McCann and Blaine Fowler calling the action. As always,

TOMORROW'S GAME
The Dons enter the Marriott Center on a hot streak. USF has won four of their last six games, the two losses coming on the road to No. 15 Gonzaga and No. 13 Saint Mary's. On Thursday night they won their second game in a row when they took the season series against Portland, winning 65-63 at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. Four Dons finished the contest in double figures and was led by
Frankie Ferrari who has been the Dons leading scorer in WCC play.
Matt McCarthy is heating up at the right time, over the last two contests he's averaging 11.0 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per contest. BYU is 19-7 overall and 8-5 in the WCC, but they 2-3 in their last five games. They got back into the win column on Thursday with an 80-58 win at home over Santa Clara. As a team, BYU is averaging 74.8 points per game and shooting 49.5 percent from the field. At home the Cougars are 12-2. Leading the team is Elijah Bryant who averages 17.7 points per game, just behind him is teammate Yoeli Childs who averages 17.6 points per contest.
THE SERIES
The Dons and Cougars have met 24 times with BYU owning a 18-6 advantage in the series. The series dates back to Dec. 20, 1946 when the Dons fell to the Cougars 46-34 at the Nevada Invitational. The Cougars are 13-1 against the Dons since joining the WCC in 2011. BYU has won ten-straight overall. The Cougars won their seventh-straight contest in War Memorial with a 69-59 win over the Dons on Jan. 4.
