FULLERTON, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's soccer team finished its non-conference slate of games against Cal State Fullerton on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately for the Dons, the Titans scored a pair of goals in each half to come away with the 4-0 win at Titan Stadium.
USF (2-7-1) finished the day with just one shot, as the Dons' offense struggled against the Cal State Fullerton (4-2-5) defense. With the loss, the Dons' skid extends to seven games.
The Titans outshot the Dons 5-0 in the first half. Cal State Fullerton scored the game's first goal in the 28
th minute when Ross McPhie scored his second goal of the year on an assist by Mark Hernandez.
CSF added an insurance goal 10 minutes later when Christian Pinzon took a cross from Jacob Cinci to beat the Dons' keeper. CSF added two more goals in the second half, scoring in the 63
rd and 89
th minute.
Ruben Stuiver (2-6) was in goal for the Dons. He finished the afternoon with four saves, all coming in the second half, as CSU outshot USF 9-1 in the period.
