WTEN | Dons Fall in 4-1 Decision to Princeton

SAN FRANCISCO — The University of San Francisco women's tennis team saw its first loss of the season Friday afternoon against Princeton, 4-1 at the Olympic Club.

Both teams began the match in singles, but was not able to compete in doubles play due to in-climate weather. Emily Maxfield was the only Don to win against her opponent in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 3-1 (retired). After this afternoon's win, Maxfield leads the team with an undefeated, 5-0 singles record. Shanna Dos Santos won her first set, 6-3, but fell in the following two sets against Princeton's Tiffany Chen. Amber Del Rosario was down in her third set at 4-2, right when the match was clinched between Dos Santos and Chen.
