SCOUTING THE SALUKIS:
- Coming into the matchup looking for their third straight win, Southern Illinois took care of business in their previous two outings as the Salukis downed Southeast Missouri, 80-55, on Wednesday, Dec. 15 followed by a 75-55 victory over Maryville on Saturday, Dec. 18.
- Overall, SIU is allowing an average of 58.5 points per game, which leads the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) while also ranking nineteenth nationally. Additionally, the Salukis also lead the MVC in three-point field goal percentage defense (31.7).
- Notably, SIU is 18-1 in its last 19 games when they have outrebounded their opponent as they have won or tied the rebounding battle in nine of their eleven games this season.
