USF AT A GLANCE
• The Dons enter Thursday's contest riding a season-worst three-game losing streak. On the year, the Dons are 10-10 after falling to No. 1 Gonzaga 100-61 last Saturday.  The Dons are 3-4 at home on the year and have lost four-straight at the friendly confines.  As a team, the Dons are averaging 72.4 points per game and shooting 42.9 percent from the field.  Their opponents are averaging 69.4 points per game and shooting 44.2 percent from the field.

• Win/Loss Splits: The Dons are 10-10 on the year - the splits between wins and losses are complete opposites.  When the Dons win, they are shooting 47.4 percent from the field, and averaging 78.8 points per game.  Their opponents shoot 38.5 and average 61.4 ppg. In losses, the Dons shoot 38.4 while scoring 65.0 ppg, while their opponents shot 49.9 percent from the field and average 77.4 points per game.

• Four-straight at Home: The Dons are currently mired in a four-game losing streak dating back to the 72-63 at home to BYU on Saturday, Jan. 30.  The last time the Dons lost four-straight at home took place Jan. 26-Feb. 16, 2008.

• Thursdays:  The Dons love to play on Thursday.  They are 6-1 - with their lone loss at Oregon.  USF averages 80 points per game and is shooting 46.5 percent from the field in those contests.  They are holding opponents to 63.3 ppg and 38.9% from the field. Jamaree Bouyea is averaging 1.81 points per game and shooting 55.1 percent on Thursdays.
the duo of Gonzaga's Drew Timme/Cory Kispert average 38.4 per contest and Pepperdine's Colby Ross/Kessler Edwards average 34.4 a game.

• Seven with 100: With two more points from Damari Milstead and seven more points from Josh Kunen the Dons will have seven players with 100 points on the year.  That makes it 13-straight years the Dons have had at least seven players with 100 points or more.  The high was when USF had 10 players north of 100 in 2016-17.

Series History: LOYOLA MARYMOUNT LIONS
Loyola Marymount is one of USF's oldest rivals, dating back to 1924 when the Dons were known as The Grey Fog and the University was called St. Ignatius. Sunday contest marks the 164th time the two teams have squared off with the Dons owning a 116-47 advantage in the series. At home, the Dons are 55-19 all-time against the Lions. The series is also known for trading points - of the 83 times the Dons have scored 100 points in a game, they have done it 15 times against LMU. On Feb. 4, 1990 the two sides combined to score 272 points - the most combined points scored in a game in USF history.  The 157 points USF surrendered that day are the most they have allowed in program history - however, the eight points allowed by the Dons in the first ever match up are also the fewest. Earlier this year, the Lions held on to defeat the Dons 68-60 at Gersten Pavilion on Jan. 10, 2021.

About the LIONS
The first year of the Stan Johnson era has been a mixed back for LMU.  The Lions had to deal with two COVID-19 pauses.  The last taking place Jan. 30 - Feb. 11.  Overall, LMU is 10-6 in Johnson's first season at the helm.  On the road this year they are 2-4 - but have won two-straight a 76-73 win over Santa Clara on Thursday and a 75-70 spanking of Portland on Jan. 25. As a team, the Lions are averaging 70.2 points per game and shooting 44.9 percent from the field.  Their opponents are averaging 66.7 points per game and connecting on 43.4 percent of their attempts from the floor. Two players average in double figures - leading the team is senior point/forward Eli Scott (17.9 ppg, 8.4 rpg).  Dameane Douglas is second on the team averaging 13.5 points per contest.

Last Time Out Versus LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
The Dons trailed by as much as 19 points in the first half but came back to tie the game with five minutes to play. Unfortunately for USF that is where they ran out of gas, falling to host Loyola Marymount 68-60 on Sunday, January 10.

USF finished with two players in double figures and was led by Khalil Shabazz who had 16. The junior overcame a sluggish start before catching fire late in the first half and keyed the Dons near comeback. Jamaree Bouyea had 12.  Eli Scott and Keli Leaupepe had 39 points combined.
