SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Closing out their three-game homestand to open the regular season, the University of San Francisco men's basketball team (2-0) is set to host UC Merced (2-2) in a matinee on Sunday afternoon at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- In their last time on the hardwood, the Dons gritted out a 60-48 win over Cal Poly at home on the Hilltop on Thursday, Nov. 10. Dangerous on both ends of the floor, Khalil Shabazz finished with a game-high 18 points (6-13 FG, 2-7 3PT) in addition to adding seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in 37 minutes played as he was named Player of the Game. As a team, USF led Cal Poly in points in the paint (28-24), points off turnovers (20-14), second chance points (7-4), fast break points (18-4) and bench points (11-4) while also holding the Mustangs to 37.0 percent (17-46) from the field and 33.3 percent (3-9) from behind-the-arc.
- Through two games in the green and gold, Tyrell Roberts ranks second on the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game on 45.0 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from downtown.
- Starting strong defensively, USF is holding their opponents to 38.1 percent shooting overall as a team while also forcing 34 turnovers across two games.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS:
- Handling their opponent with ease in their last outing, UC Merced rolled over West Coast Baptist College, 102-70, at home on Thursday, Nov. 10. In the win, Job Sichting led the Bobcats with a game-high 24 points and five assists while Braxton Bosher pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
- So far this season, UC Merced has defeated Bethesda and West Coast Baptist College while also falling to William Jessup and Menlo College.
- Individually, forward Kingsley Obiorah paces the team with 11.0 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds per game. Overall, the Bobcats are averaging 77.8 points per game as a team while shooting 43.9 percent from two and 30.0 percent from three. Additionally, the Bobcats average 42.0 rebounds and 14.0 assists per game through four contests.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Sunday's matchup between the Dons and the Bobcats will mark the first meeting all-time between the two programs.
