- Through eight games, Mogbo continues to be one of the nation's most efficient players as he is currently third in the country in field goal percentage (74.0). Additionally, he also ranks third nationally in efficiency rating (PER) at 37.4 behind only Zach Edey (42.1) of Purdue and Vladislav Goldin (38.3) of Florida Atlantic.
- As a unit, the Dons have remained steady on the defensive end as the green and gold currently rank 19th in the country in scoring defense by allowing only 61.8 points per game. Additionally, USF is also 27th nationally in steals per game (9.6) and 29th in turnovers forced per game (16.25).
- When San Francisco holds their opposition to less than 60 points on the year, the Dons have a perfect 4-0 record. Similarly, the green and gold are also 4-0 in games in which they have shot over 50 percent from the floor and 4-0 in games when they outrebound their opponent. Notably, USF is also 5-1 on the season when holding a lead at the halftime break.
- Historically, Wednesday's contest will mark the 15th game all-time for San Francisco against an SEC opponent. USF's record against other SEC schools is as follows: Tennessee (2-1), Georgia (1-0), Missouri (1-0), South Carolina (1-0), Texas A&M (1-3), Arkansas (0-1), Kentucky (0-1), LSU (0-1) and Ole Miss (0-1), Â

- Leading the Commodores in his fifth season, former NBA All-Star Jerry Stackhouse was named the SEC Co-Coach of the Year in 2022-23 while also earning the Ben Jobe Award, which is presented annually to the most outstanding minority men's basketball head coach at the Division I level. Overall, Vanderbilt finished 22-15 last season, which included an 11-7 mark in SEC play that tied the Commodores for fourth place in the conference standings.
