PORTLAND/CORVALLIS, Ore. – The University of San Francisco volleyball team (10-5, 3-0 WCC) looks to extend its five-match win streak as it travels to take on Portland (9-5, 2-2 WCC) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at Chiles Center and Oregon State (3-10, 1-2 WCC) at noon on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Gill Coliseum.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco enters the week in second place in the WCC standings with a 3-0 record after defeating Saint Mary's and LMU in back-to-back sweeps on Thursday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 5.
- Delaney Ewing was a critical component of the team's success last week and was honored for her efforts with the WCC Freshman of the Week award. She recorded 15 kills, 19.5 points, and a .462 hitting percentage over the two matches. Individually, she now ranks third in the conference for hitting percentage with .386.
- Offensively, the Dons have four players with at least 100 kills, one of only two teams in the WCC to set this mark. Michalina Rola guides the program with a team-leading 166, while Astrid Puig (154), Maria Petkova (126), and Hayden Goodman (106) have contributed to the offensive effort.
- As a team, the Dons currently lead the conference in hitting percentage at .258. Notably, the green and gold recorded their third-highest hitting percentage of the season at .357 against the Gaels on Oct. 3.
- On defense, Goodman ranks second in the WCC in total blocks (72) and is first in blocks per set (1.36). Overall, San Francisco ranks second in total blocks with 140.
SCOUTING THE PILOTS:
- In their last outing, Portland faced Gonzaga on the road, beating them in straight sets on Oct. 5. Three players recorded double digits in kills with Maui Robins leading the team with 17 kills and 20.5 points against the Bulldogs. She currently ranks fifth in the conference for kills with 188 on the season.
- The Pilots possess a strong offense as their team ranks second in hitting percentage with .247 and first in average kills per set with 13.54. Individually, Taina Kaauwai ranks first in the conference for hitting percentage with .395
- Defensively, Tinoa Woodward-Hart has recorded double-digits in digs in 11 matches for the Pilots this season with a total of 204 on the year, good for seventh most in the conference.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS:
- Oregon State is currently in seventh place in the conference standings at 1-2, following a 3-0 road loss to San Diego on Saturday, Oct. 5.
- Offensively this season, the Beavers are led by Lauren Rumel, who ranks ninth in the conference in kills with 179 and 10th in points per set at 3.65.
- Annika Hester, a transfer from San Diego, is a threat on both sides of the ball, as she leads the team in total blocks with 41 and has the second most kills on the team with 143.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Since the 2002 season, San Francisco leads the all-time series history over Portland, holding a 23-17 edge, with the programs splitting the two matchups every season since 2019. In the last contest, the Dons dropped a hard-fought five-set affair to the Pilots on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Chiles Center.
- San Francisco's matchup at Oregon State marks the second time the two programs have squared off in program history. The last time the Dons and Beavers faced off was in the 2001 season, with the Beavers earning a 3-0 win over the Dons on the Hilltop.
