SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the first time in over a month, The University of San Francisco women's basketball team (2-6) returns to the Hilltop at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, when it takes on Arizona State (5-5) at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco concluded its three-game road trip last Saturday, Dec. 14, falling at Northern Arizona, 92-83 at Rolle Activity Center.
- Freja Werth and Emma Trawally Porta paced the Dons in scoring, combining for 43 points, with Werth leading the way with 23 for her second consecutive 20-point scoring performance. Trawally Porta added 20 points in the loss, reaching the 20-point threshold for the first time since January 4, 2024, while playing at Detroit Mercy.
- Nearly recording her first-ever double-double, Angeliki Ziaka scored 14 points and dished out eight assists, both career highs. She also led the team in blocks for the third time this season, accumulating two from the point guard position.
- Werth leads the team and ranks 10th in the WCC in scoring, averaging 13.9 points per game. Following an eight-rebound performance at NAU, Trawally leads the team at 6.8 boards per game, tied for fourth-best in the conference.
SCOUTING THE SUN DEVILS:
- Arizona State enters the week with a 5-5 overall record, following a narrow 57-50 loss at UC Davis on Sunday, Dec. 15. The Sun Devils, entering their first season as a member of the Big 12 Conference, have dropped four games to mid-major teams, including Arkansas State, Grand Canyon, Coppin State, and UC Davis.
- Tyi Skinner leads the team in scoring, averaging 17 points per game. In 10 games this season, Skinner has totaled eight double-digit scoring performances, including a career-high 30 points in the 74-66 win over Jacksonville State to open the season. Skinner also paces the Sun Devils and ranks 15th in the Big 12 in assists, accumulating 37.
- Arizona State had eight newcomers join the program before the 2024-25 season, losing seven players from the last campaign. Kennedy Basham and Jyah LoVett highlight the newcomers as Basham leads the team in rebounding at 7.1 per game, while LoVett ranks fourth in scoring, averaging 9.1 points per game.
SERIES HISTORY:
- San Francisco and Arizona State have played each other three times in program history, with the Sun Devils holding an undefeated 3-0 record. The last time the two teams faced was on November 13, 2023, when the Dons dropped a 77-69 decision in Tempe, Ariz.
- Four players scored in double figures for the Dons, with Cami Fulcher leading the team with a career-high 18 points while shooting 33.3 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from the three-point line.
