SCOUTING THE HORNETS:
  • Sacramento State broke a four-game skid on Monday, Dec. 15, with a dominating 102-42 victory over Simpson, an NAIA program, at Hornet Pavilion. The 60-point win marked the fourth-highest margin of victory for the Hornets in program history and reached the 100-point threshold in a game for the second time this season.
  • Natalie Picton finished with a career-high 27 points in the win over Simpson last Monday, surpassing her previous best of 24 points set while playing at Montana State. In 2025-26, Picton ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 13.4 points per game. In 11 games, she has scored in double figures eight times, including scoring 20 or more twice.
  • Rubi Gray leads Sacramento State in scoring this season through 11 games, averaging 14.8 points per game. Gray has posted double-digit points in eight straight games, highlighted by a 26-point performance against Cal State Fullerton on November 21.
