Track and Field Concludes Season at NCAA Division I Championship West First Rounds

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's track and field team concluded the season with four athletes competing in the NCAA Division I Championship West First Rounds, hosted by Arkansas, at John McDonnell Field.

- Petra Helebrantová impressed in two events throughout the weekend, competing in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. Becoming the first athlete to advance to the quarterfinal round in the 1500 meters since 2019 after setting the program's second-fastest time in the opening round at 4:17.73, Helebrantová placed 21st in her final race of the season with a time of 4:23.20. She also participated in the 800 meters, finishing the first round in 26th out of 49 competitors at 2:05.46.
- Making a postseason appearance in her first collegiate outdoor season, Rae Le Fay secured 34th in the 3000-meter steeplechase at 10:46.65.
- On the men's side, Ethan O'Shea competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase, completing the event in 37th with a time of 9:01.30.
- Helebrantová, Le Fay, and O'Shea all placed higher than their U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings with Helebrantová finishing 21st in the 1500 meters, 26th in the 800 meters, Le Fay in 34th, and O'Shea in 38th.
