2011 WEST COAST CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM - HONORABLE MENTION
2010 ALL-WEST COAST CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM - DOUBLES (with Jenni Heinser)
AT USF 2012: Singles: played the four, three and two position and finished with a 3-11 record... Doubles: played the three position and finished with a 8-5 record (two victories over top 50 teams)... earned WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention Honors.
PREP/AMATEUR CAREER: Played on the Swedish National Team… was ranked No. 1 in her age… won national championship in doubles… won national team championship three years in a row… qualified for Nike Junior Tour (top 8 players in the country) four years in a row… played ETA, ITF and WTA tour since she was 12.
PERSONAL: Born in December of 1989... daughter of Goran Bengtsson and Ingela Akerbrant... chose USF for the City, the location of the school, and the weather... goal for the season is to with the WCC Championship... nicknamed “Swede”… hobbies include music, shopping, travel, eating, dancing and hanging out with friends... feels the best thing about being a student athlete is being part of a team... the best advice she's ever been given is to 'don't knock it till you've tried it'... lists her brother as the most impressive person she has met... would like to attend the Olympics... favorite movie is the Hangover... favorite musical artist is Bon Iver... loves chips and burgers and other junk food... majoring in Communication Studies.
