2013-14 - FRESHMAN: FALL: Earned first collegiate win at the Aggie Invitational against Robert Henry, 6-1,6-4, Oct. 4, advancing to the quarterfinals. SINGLES: Advanced to the Pacific Tiger Men’s Invitational quarterfinals against Jonah Tahilan, 6-2, 6-1, on Nov. 1. DOUBLES: Tan and partner Yezan Dayeh defeated #44 Washington’s Dragos Puscalau and Rishabh Raman, 8-7(3), on Oct. 19 at the 2013 USTA/ITA Division I Men’s Northwest Regional Championship.
PREP CAREER: Played boys varsity tennis as a freshman and sophomore ... undefeated in league play through both seasons ... sophomore Athlete of the Year ... graduated as an AP sholar with honor and as class valedictorian.
PERSONAL: Majoring in business ... son of William and Anne Tan ... enjoys playing sports, drawing, reading and exercising ... born Jan. 25, 1995, in San Jose, Calif.
