Patryk Tenorio joined the USF coaching staff in spring 2017. Tenorio is also the Assistant Director of Football for San Francisco's PDL team - SF City FC - and Director of Goalkeeping at San Francisco Elite Academy. Tenorio has coached players from programs like UNC-Chapel Hill, Stanford, Portland, SJSU, UCSB, and more. He has also been involved in the NorCal youth soccer scene as a team and goalkeeper coach working with players from various academies like SF Elite, Juventus SC, and De Anza Force.
In his youth, Tenorio was a goalkeeper at one of the first residential soccer academies in the nation - St. Stephen’s Soccer Academy in Austin, TX - which regularly sent players to top college programs and the MLS.
There, Tenorio had the opportunity to train with and play against national teams and youth academies from around the world such as Liverpool FC and the Bahamas MNT. Tenorio went on to play at the College of Wooster where he was the starting goalkeeper and achieved the third-best save percentage in the conference his freshman year.
After trialing with professional clubs across the MLS, NASL, and USL Championship, Tenorio decided to give back to the game by focusing on coaching full time. Tenorio holds a USSF C license and The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football. Additionally, Tenorio has certifications with The FA in Psychology and Talent Identification. He has attended programs by football innovators and coaches like Albert Puig and Frans Hoek, who have worked for clubs like Ajax Amsterdam, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, NYFC, and FC Barcelona.
