- A four-time letter winner for head coach Filemon Aphenegus and the Chieftains,
- Was an anchor for a stellar defense at Columbia River.
- Prior to his senior year being canceled, he was a three-time all-conference winner.
- As a sophomore he started all 23 games for a defense that allowed just 10 goals on the year, en route to a state championship.
- The state championship was hardly all the winning Warthen and his team accomplished—they also took home several district championships.
- His junior season, the only loss of the year came in a 1-0 defeat in a title defense of the state championships.
- Warthen also played club soccer for 13 years, as a member of the Washington Timbers led by coach Binium Aphenegus.
- In 2017, he and his team won a Crossfire Challenge Championship and were runners up the following season
