
Oskarsdottir Leads Women's Golf to Seventh Place Finish in Rose City Collegiate

AURORA, Ore. – The University of San Francisco Women's Golf Team, led by sophomore Eyglo Oskarsdottir, finished seventh in the Rose City Colligate held at the 72-par 6,080-yard Langdon Farms Golf Course in Aurora, Oregon.
A warm, but windy afternoon saw USF in sixth place after the conclusion of round one yesterday. The Dons shot 312 led by Sophomore Michelle Condry who tied for eighth overall with a three-over par 75. Round two of the two-day competition closed with Freshman Emelie Lundstrom (76, 75) and Oskarsdottir (78, 73) tying for eighth, both firing 151. Oskarsdottir, a native of Gardabaer, Iceland would end up shooting the best single round of any Don in the tournament with her one-over 73 in the second round.
The final day of the event brought cool, cloudy and breezy conditions to the Langdon Farms course. The Dons shot their lowest score of the event with a 307. The Collegiate concluded with Oskarsdottir firing a 226 (78, 73, 75) to tie for eighth with Boise State's Hayley Young and Lori Harper. Lundstrom finished two shots behind Oskarsdottir with a 228 (76, 75, 77).
USF took home seventh place after a tight competition with a 68-over 932 (312, 313, 307).
CSU Fullerton seized first place in the Rose City Collegiate, shooting 912 (+48), as Oregon State finished in second with a 52-over par 916.
A Ram Choi of Portland State won the individual title shooting a consistent 218 (72, 72, 74).
The USF Women's Golf Team will return to action October 8th in the University of Washington Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational.
