SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Head Coach Sara Doell and the University of San Francisco women's golf team have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
"Our team has a fantastic opportunity to excel in the competitive schedule we have created," Doell said. This year is special because we have a young yet very talented team that I know will represent the Dons well as we strive to reach our athletic and academic goals."
The 2026-27 campaign features nine regular-season tournaments, including the program's lone home event, the Juli Inkster Invitational, at TPC Harding Park on March 9-10. The Dons claimed five top-10 team finishes in a successful 2025-26 season, highlighted by a fifth-place finish at The Causeway Invitational in Davis. In her first collegiate season, Erica Villegas shined late as she secured a tie for 11th at the West Coast Conference Championship.
Beginning the fall season in the Pacific Northwest, San Francisco opens at the Leadership and Golf Invitational on September 14-15. Participating in the two-day event at Chambers Bay Golf Course, hosted by Seattle U and Washington, for the fourth straight season, the Dons claimed 11th place in 2025-26. The program returns to The Evergreen State the following week when it competes in the Kalispel Invitational, hosted by Gonzaga, on September 21-22 at Kalispel Golf Club.
Two tournaments in October close the first half of the season when the Dons participate in the Marilyn Smith Sunflower Invitational in Lawrence, Kan., on October 5-6, then head to Nevada for The Clash at Boulder Creek at Boulder Creek Golf Club on October 25-27.
San Francisco returns to action in the New Year on February 15-16 in Southern California at The Molly Invitational in San Diego at The Heights Country Club. The team travels to Sacramento on February 22-23 to compete in The Causeway Invitational at Del Paso Country Club for the third straight season.
The spring season will also feature a co-hosted tournament with San Jose State when the program competes in the Juli Inkster Invitational at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco on March 9-10.
Along with its co-hosted home tournament, the green and gold will participate in two additional local events to conclude the regular season at the Silicon Valley Showcase on March 22-23 and the Chevron Silverado Showdown on April 5-7.
Postseason play begins on April 23-25, when the program travels to North Plains, Ore., to compete in the West Coast Conference Championship at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.
