Just the Facts, Ma'am

The University of San Francisco women's basketball team concludes a four-game road swing facing the top team in the conference, Gonzaga. The Dons are fresh off an impressive come-from-behind win at Portland that halted a six-game losing streak.

What 2 Watch 4

Posting a 7-6 overall record away from the Hilltop, the Dons hope to continue its "there's no place like the road" season, led by sophomore Taylor Proctor.

Proctor's 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds a game pace the team, with three other Dons contributing double-digit scoring numbers - Zhané Dikes (11.4 ppg), Rachel Howard (11.0 ppg) and Taj Winston (10.7 ppg). The fearsome foursome account for 68 percent of USF's offensive production.

Know the Foe - Gonzaga

The WCC-leading Bulldogs enter Saturday's contest ranked in both the AP and USAToday polls as the team is riding a nine-game winning streak. In its last two games, Gonzaga has held opponents under 40 points. On the season, the Zags hold opponents to 53.8 points - good for fourth nationally.

Haiden Palmer, the reigning WCC Player of the Week, leads Gonzaga's offense with 15.9 points per game to go with 5.4 rebounds and 3.1 steals. Her thefts per game average is seventh in the NCAA.

Portland Remix

After finding themselves down 22-2 eight minutes into the contest at the Chiles Center, the Dons posted the largest comeback in the Jennifer Azzi era in epic fashion, with Taylor Proctor's basket and one with 0.7 seconds remaining giving USF the victory.

The Dons were paced by a banner night by senior Alexa Hardick, who scored a career-high 21 points in her first career start. After a 0-for-6 shooting slump in the first half, she regrouped and hit 5-of-8 from 3-point range in the second. [READ THE RECAP]

Devine's Dimes

"Both Santa Clara and Loyola Marymount have shown in close losses to Gonzaga that the Bulldogs can be vulnerable. The Dons have already won two road games at tough venues, Boise State and Fresno State.  So who knows what could happen on Saturday.  Anytime you play in The Kennel, Gonzaga's fans will make sure it's noisy and uncomfortable for any visitor sniffing an upset!"

On the Horizon

USF heads home to the Hilltop to face San Diego on Feb. 6. The game is the first of three in San Francisico as BYU and Santa Clara are also on the upcoming docket.
