Between the Baselines
The Dons have opened the season 2-0 for conssecutive seasons, and for the third time in the last four yeras. Preseason All-WCC selection Taylor Proctor has opened the year as the team leader, averaging 19.0 points on 67.7 percent shooting, 10.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.0 assists a night.

Cal Poly enters the game with a 1-1 mark on the year after dropping its last game to UT Rio Grande Valley, 66-58. Four of the Mustangs' five starters are averaging double-digit scoring, and Hannah Gilbert is leading the way with 15.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game.

USF Versus
The Dons hold the 13-7 overall advantage over the Mustangs, but Cal Poly has the most recent victory in the series - a 67-56 win in San Luis Obispo at the Cal Poly Classic on Nov. 30, 2013. USF is 10-3 against Cal Poly at War Memorial.

Last Time Out
The Dons dismantled Holy Names, holding the Hawks to just 31 points - the lowest scoring total for a USF opponent since Jan. 3, 1996. The USF defense kept the visitors scoreless for the duration of the fourth quarter. Taylor Proctor compiled 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting, 12 rebounds and a career-best seven steals. Claudia Price added a career-high 15 points on an efficient 7-of-9 effort from the floor in 19 minutes of action.

Record Watch
With 1,217 career points Taylor Proctor edged up the all-time leaderboard for the Dons in USF's last outing. After passing Taj Winston '15, Proctor stands in 11th all time and needs 39 points to claim her spot in the Top 10. Also a member of the 500-Rebound Club, Proctor stands in ninth all-time with 670 boards, and needs 28 to leapfrog Margaret Walsh (1983-87).

Jumping Ahead
The Dons continue a stretch of five games in 12 days, traveling to Utah Valley for a Monday night matchup before returning home to take on North Dakota as part of a men's and women's basketball double-header. One ticket will allow entry to both contests. The women tip at 5:30 p.m., and the men's contest against UC Santa Barbara is slated for 7:30 p.m.
