Series Snippits
2015 marks the first meeting between the Dons and the recently rebranded Fighting Hawks.

Last Time Out
Taylor Proctor's banner night for the San Francisco women's basketball team was all for naught in a 94-88 overtime loss to Utah Valley at the UCCU Center on Monday night.

The Dons led by 19 points with 14:45 remaining in regulation before the Wolverines (4-1, 0-0 WAC) turned the tables with a furious fourth-quarter surge to force an overtime period. The home team continued its momentum into the bonus minutes, shooting 4-for-5 from the floor and posting an 8-for-11 effort from the line to close out the comeback.

On the Air
Listen to longtime voice of the Dons, George Devine, behind the mic all season long. Devine is in his 20th season as the play-by-play voice of USF women's basketball.

Records Watch
Taylor Proctor made an historic rise in the record books at Utah Valley, scoring 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting in the first quarter of the night. On the 17th point off a triple from the junior from Colorado Springs, Colo., she pulled even with Teri Hunt ('84-87) for 10th place in career points. Three minutes later, Proctor earned her spot as an all-time top-10 scorer at USF.

By the end of the evening, her career tally stood at 1277, and Proctor's 39-point effort stands as a new career high. In fact, her tally stands tied for the second-best single-game performance in school history, even with USF Hall of Famer Mary Hile-Nepfels's mark against Pepperdine in 1979, and three points shy of Teri Hunt's 42 points against San Diego on Jan. 31, 1987.

Also a member of the 500-Rebound Club, Proctor stands in ninth all-time with 692 boards, and needs 6 to leapfrog Margaret Walsh (1983-87).

Jumping Ahead
The Dons close out a stretch of five games in 12 days, wrapping up against Sacramento State on Saturday at noon. After a Tuesday evening game at Nevada, USF returns to the Hilltop to meet up with UC Riverside next Friday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m.

War Memorial at The Sobrato Center
Silicon Valley philanthropist and real estate developer John A. Sobrato and his wife Susan have made an historic gift of $15 million to the University of San Francisco, the largest gift from individuals in the institution's history.

The gift will support USF's first-ever master plan for athletic facilities, renovate the 60-year old War Memorial Gymnasium, and help USF uphold its tradition of excellence in Division 1 athletics. The multi-use facility will be named The Sobrato Center and will feature a new club level with preferred seating that also bears the Sobrato name.

"As a real estate developer, I like to build things," Sobrato said. "When I saw War Memorial Gym, I asked myself: Why don't we modernize this building, bring in the natural light, and make it a much more inviting place not only for athletics but also for all campus events. It's going to be a great looking building when we're done."
