After dropping its league-opener to Bay Area rival Saint Mary's, San Francisco and Pacific will battle for its first WCC win as the two tussle on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Between the Baselines
The USF offense has been explosive and operating with teamwork and synergy at the forefront.The Dons rank second in the league and 25th in NCAA Division I in shooting percentage, hitting 45.5 percent of their attempts from the floor. Coupled with a league-leading 18.1 assists per game, good for 19th in the nation, the collaborative nature of the offense has been a focus point.
The Dons are led by senior
Taylor Proctor's 22.1 points on .529 shooting and 9.0 rebounds per game. Proctor's point tally currently rates 13th in the NCAA, and she has the third-best mark in the country in total field goals made with 101.
Zhane Dikes adds 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds, and
Rachel Howard contributes 13.9 points on a WCC-best .458 shooting from beyond the arc.
Know the Foe
Pacific enters the game with an overall mark of 7-5, and the Tigers are also looking for its first WCC win after falling at Santa Clara on Monday, 76-52.
The Tigers are paced by Hailie Eackles' 13.7 points a night, and GeAnna Luaulu-Summers adds 11.6 points 3.8 assists a game, but the guard missed four of the last five contests with freshman and current WCC Player of the Week Ameela Li stepping in and stepping up.

San Francisco connects on 36.5 percent of its attempts from beyond the arc, but the Dons will face a stiff test against the Tigers. Pacific holds its opponents to 25.6 percent shooting from distance, 31st in the NCAA.
Series Snippits
The Dons hold the 17-15 advantage in the all-time series, including taking two of three during the 2014-15 campaign. First, USF spoiled the Tigers' Senior Day in the final game of the regular season, a 91-79 victory. One week later, paired up in the 3 vs. 6 game in the WCC Championship Quarterfinals, USF came away with the 74-64 win, setting the stage for the Dons' path to the Championship Finals and a berth in the WNIT.
In those two wins,
Taylor Proctor combined for 45 points on 17-of-26 shooting with 18 rebounds.
Last Time Out
Despite a furious fourth-quarter rally, the San Francisco women's basketball team couldn't scratch out the win against the visiting Saint Mary's Gaels in the West Coast Conference opener for both squads. The Gaels halted USF's seven-game winning streak with the 78-68 win on Monday night at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
For the Dons, the night belonged to junior
Hashima Carothers, who finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds, including 10 offensive boards, to notch her first career double-double for the Green and Gold. Sfinished the night a perfect 10-for-10 from the line, becoming the eighth woman in program history to finish with a 1.000 free throw percentage on at least 10 attempts.
The storyline for the Gaels revolved around the 3-point line, as Saint Mary's finished with a 12-for-24 effort from distance, with four women hitting multiple triples. Same-name teammates Devon Brookshire and Devyn Galland finished with 19 and 15 points, respectively, combining to go 7-for-12 beyond the arc.
Dons In the Mid-Major Polls
San Francisco enters the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25, coming in at No. 24 in the Dec. 23 poll. Three other WCC teams are in the rankings with Gonzaga at No. 1, Saint Mary's at No. 4 and San Diego at No. 5.
NCAA Active Career Leaders
Taylor Proctor currently ranks 35th among active Division I scoring leaders (1,444 points). She also ranks in the top-40 among active players in field goals (540/29th) and double-doubles (21/34th). Fellow senior
Zhane Dikes rates 17th in NCAA Division I in career free throw attempts (490) and 21st in makes (358).
