SAN FRANCISCO -
The Dons are coming off a 3-1 win at San Jose State this past Tuesday. Samantha Jehnings enjoyed her first career multi-goal game as she netted goals in the 30th and 66th minutes. Sydnie Telson added some insurance for the Dons as she registered her first score of the year in the 75th minute. Both teams tallied 11 shots on the day, but USF held the edge with six shots on goal compared to SJSU's four. Madalyn Schiffel had three saves in goal.

Now the Dons turn their attention to a stiff test in the Cal Bears, who come into the weekend ranked No. 13 in the most recent NSCAA Top-25. That match will kick off Friday at 7 p.m. at Negoesco Stadium. The Dons will follow that up with a 1 p.m. home contest against the Boise State Broncos on Sunday.

Both matches this weekend will feature a live video stream on TheW.tv with George Devine handling play-by-play duties for the Cal match, while Charles Wollin will take the mic on Sunday. Live stats will also be available for each match. All multimedia for any USF match is available through links on the women's soccer schedule page at USFDons.com.

GAME NOTES
TWICE IS NICE

Samantha Jehnings has been hot of late, scoring three goals in her past two contests. Jehnings netted a pair of goals in USF's 3-1 win over San Jose State on Tuesday, making her the first Don to score multiple goals since Mackenzie Krieser scored two in a 4-1 win over Sacramento State on Aug. 31, 2012. Jehnings scored her first goal of the season at Oakland this past Sunday.

OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT
The Dons' 6-1-2 mark so far this season is the best start since the 2002 Dons went 7-1-1 in their first nine contests.

ONE FOR THE AGES
Senior Madalyn Schiffel became the USF career leader in shutouts in goal with the Dons' 2-0 win at Oakland this past Sunday. Schiffel surpassed Amy Voiland (1994-98) with her 22nd-career shutout.

PUTTING UP ZEROS
The Dons' 2-0 shutout at Oakland this past Sunday gave USF their sixth clean sheet of the year. The last time USF started a season with such a stingy defense was in 2009 when the Dons also opened the year with six shutouts in their first eight contests.

EARLY AND OFTEN
USF has outscored opponents 12-3 so far this season, including an 8-1 advantage in first-half scoring. The Dons are also outshooting opponents 115-94.

SPREADING THE WEALTH
USF's 15 goals so far this season have been scored by 10 different players. Sonja Giraud (3) and Samantha Jehnings (3) are currently leading the team.

PILE IT ON
When USF defeated Denver 4-0 on Sept. 4, the Dons enjoyed their highest single-game goal total since a 4-1 win over Sacramento State on Aug. 31, 2013.
