PULLMAN, Wash. - The University of San Francisco women's soccer team (3-10-4, 2-6-2 WCC) came up short in its midweek contest, falling to Washington State (6-7-5, 4-4-2 WCC), 3-0, on Wednesday evening at Lower Soccer Field.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Washington State opened the scoring in the 18th minute, when Jordyn Young curled a shot into the top-right corner off an assist from Audrey Shackelford. Young struck again in the 24th minute to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. The Cougars added a third goal in the 59th minute on a penalty kick converted by Maggie Mace.
- USF generated several late shots on target from Sydni Yoshida, Danica Lunceford, and Kaitlyn Sasadeusz.
- San Francisco faced 18 Washington State shots, six of them on goal.
