Between the Baselines
The USF offense has been operating with teamwork and synergy at the forefront this season. The Dons rank second in the league and 47th in NCAA Division I in shooting percentage, hitting 43.8 percent of their attempts from the floor. Coupled with a league-leading 17.0 assists per game, good for 26th in the nation, the collaborative nature of the offense has been a focus point.

The Dons are led by senior Taylor Proctor's 19.5 points on .508 shooting, 8.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. Zhane Dikes adds 14.8 points and 7.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals, and Rachel Howard contributes 11.5 points on .378 shooting from beyond the arc and 3.3 assists.

Proctor is high on the national leaderboards in multiple categories, including total points (370/14th), field goals made (135/16th) and double-doubles (7/39th). Dikes rakes 12th in free throws made (94), 13th in free throws attempted (127) and 19th in minutes played this season.

Know the Foe
Santa Clara enters the lone game of the week sporting a 14-5 overall record and a 5-3 mark in conference play. The Broncos tallied a 12-game winning streak spanning the majority of non-conference action and the opening trio of WCC games. Of note were two victories over Power 5 conference teams - Santa Clara went to Maples Pavilion and defeated the Cardinal 61-58, and then hosted Texas Tech in a 75-70 victory.

Lori Parkinson's 11.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 22 total blocks paces the Broncos offense. Morgan McGwire rates as the only other double-digit scorer, averaging 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds a night.

What 2 Watch 4
The Broncos' bread and butter this season relies on defense. Santa Clara is second in the league in scoring defense (57.6 ppg) and field goal percentage defense (.363), and leads the league in steals (12.8 spg). Conversely, the USF offense relies on sharing the ball an average of 16.7 times per game, first in the WCC, and the Dons are second in scoring offense (72.0 ppg) and field goal percentage (.437).

Series Snippits
The Broncos own the 50-36 advantage in the all time series, and have taken wins in 10 of the last 11 games against USF. The Don's last win at the Leavey Center was a 69-67 win on Feb. 20, 2003.

Last Time Out
With a basket that seemed as big as the ocean flanking the Pepperdine campus to start the game, the San Francisco women's basketball shot their way to the 15-point halftime lead and held on for an 81-74 victory against the Waves on Saturday afternoon at Firestone Fieldhouse.

The Dons were led by a trio of scorers, keyed by a 16-point first half for Kalyn Simon. She closed the game with 18 points, going 5-of-7 from distance to record a career high day.

Taylor Proctor paced the squad with 19 points, six rebounds and five assists on .500 shooting and an 11-of-13 effort from the line. Zhane Dikes picked up the 15-point, 11-rebound double-double to go along with four steals. All 10 women who entered the lineup for the Dons scored at least two points on the day.

Bring the Heat
Kalyn Simon has been filling out the stat sheet with ease over USF's last three contests. Since the Dons met up with BYU on Jan. 9, the redshirt sophomore has been averaging 13.7 points on .517 shooting, and an 8-for-16 effort from 3-point range.

Her on-fire performances outpace her career averages exponentially. In her two seasons suiting up for the Dons, Simon posts averages of 2.5 points on .354 shooting and 24.4 percent shooting from distance.

Doubling Up
Taylor Proctor has scored in double figures in each of this season's games, and dating back to the 2014-15 season, the senior from Colorado Springs, Colo., has put together a string of 25 straight games with at least 10 points.

Playing the Percentages
Shooting a very effective 44.2 percent from the floor, the Dons have five women over the .500-mark in true shooting percentage, which takes into account field goals, 3-pointers and free throws. Taylor Proctor (.600 ts%) and Raushan Gultekin (.596 ts%) lead the way, followed by Claudia Price (.569 ts%), Zhane Dikes (.549 ts%) and Rachel Howard (.526 ts%).

NCAA Active Career Leaders
Taylor Proctor currently stands as one of eight women in the NCAA with at least 1,500 points and 800 rebounds. She ranks 34th among active Division I scoring leaders (1,549 points). She also lands in the top-40 among active players in rebounds (819/24th), field goals (574/33rd) and double-doubles (23/35th). Fellow senior Zhane Dikes rates 15th in NCAA Division I in career free throw attempts (544) and 17th in makes (394).

Listen to longtime voice of the Dons, George Devine, behind the mic all season long. Devine is in his 20th season as the play-by-play voice of USF women's basketball.
