San Francisco plays its first game on the Hilltop in 2016, welcoming San Diego to the City by the Bay. Both teams enter the weekend featuring high-octane offensive play with dynamic duos. The Dons and Toreros each rank in the league's top three in scoring offense, field goal percentage and assist to turnover ratio. The matchup features two of the top three, and four of the top seven, scorers in the WCC.

Between the Baselines
The USF offense has been explosive and operating with teamwork and synergy at the forefront.The Dons rank second in the league and 33rd in NCAA Division I in shooting percentage, hitting 44.7 percent of their attempts from the floor. Coupled with a league-leading 17.0 assists per game, good for 29th in the nation, the collaborative nature of the offense has been a focus point.

The Dons are led by senior Taylor Proctor's 20.3 points on .516 shooting and 8.5 rebounds per game. Zhane Dikes adds 14.9 points and 7.6 rebounds, and Rachel Howard contributes 12.9 points on .407 shooting from beyond the arc.

Know the Foe
San Diego enters the weekend sporting a 12-2 overall record, and a 5-0 mark on the road. However, in its last meeting the Toreros fell to Saint Mary's 73-68, its lone loss in WCC play.The squad is paced by a dynamic duo in twins Malina and Maya Hood. Malina contributes 20.9 points per game and a team-high 2.3 steals per contest. Sister Maya adds 14.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per night.

As a team, the Toreros lead the WCC in scoring margin ( 13.4) and turnover margin ( 3.93), and the squad is sixth in the nation in free throw percentage (77.2).

Series Snippits
The Toreros hold the 36-28 advantage in the all-time series, but the Dons have won two of the last four against San Diego, and own the slight 16-15 edge on the Hilltop. In the last meeting between the two, USF earned a 65-57 victory in the WCC Semifinals on March 9, as the No. 6 seed took down the No. 2 seed in Las Vegas.

Last Time Out
The Dons got back to its winning ways last Saturday at the Chiles Center, turning in a total team performance to earn the 82-63 victory over Portland.USF shot 51.7 percent from the field and finished with 19 assists in the game. Four women finished with double-digit scoring efforts, paced by game-highs of 19 points and 10 rebounds for Zhane Dikes. The senior from Las Vegas also led the Dons with four assists in the contest.

"Tonight, we were really moving the ball and we were passing up good shots for better shots," noted Dikes after the game. "I think when we do that we are a great basketball team, and I think that was the big difference tonight."

Taylor Proctor added 16 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for the Dons. The duo of Michaela Rakova and Rachel Howard each finished with 11 points in the game, and Kalyn Simon added a career-high nine rebounds in the contest. Rakova, a sophomore from Ivanka pri Dunaja, Slovakia, earned her first career start against the Pilots as the Dons employed a new-look starting five for the second straight game.

Trending Topics
Taylor Proctor has scored in double figures in each of USF's 15 games this season. She has a current streak of 21 consecutive double-digit games, dating back to last season.

Painting a Picture
The Dons hold the wide margin in points in the paint, feeding the posts or driving in for the score for 30.0 points per game. Twice this season, USF has scored at least 50 points in the paint (54 vs. Holy Names, 50 vs. UC Riverside). Their opponents only make it to the lane for the basket for 18.5 points per game. In USF's last game at Portland, the Dons enjoyed a 32-10 advantage in points in the paint.

Playing the Percentages
Shooting a very effective 44.7 percent from the floor, the Dons have five women over the .500-mark in true shooting percentage, which takes into account field goals, 3-pointers and free throws. Taylor Proctor (.603 ts%) leads the way, followed by Claudia Price (.589 ts%), Zhane Dikes (.571 ts%), Raushan Gultekin (.563 ts%) and Rachel Howard (.552 ts%).

NCAA Active Career Leaders
Taylor Proctor currently ranks 36th among active Division I scoring leaders (1,483 points). She also ranks in the top-40 among active players in field goals (553/31st) and double-doubles (21/37th). Fellow senior Zhane Dikes rates 16th in NCAA Division I in career free throw attempts (511) and 19th in makes (373).
