Between the Baselines
The collaborative nature of the USF offense has been a focus point on the season, and Dons have coupled solid shooting with 15.9 assists per game, good for 36th in the nation. The squad ranks in the top three in the league in shooting percentages, coming in nationally at 17th in free throw percentage (.756) and 3-point field goal percentage (.368), and 49th in field goal percentage (.431).Â
The Dons are led by
Taylor Proctor's 18.2 points on .484 shooting, 8.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.2 blocks per game.
Zhane Dikes adds 13.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals. The duo of
Rachel Howard (11.4 ppg, 2.7 apg) and
Anna Seilund (7.0 ppg, 2.6 apg) serve as USF's sharpshooters - averaging 39.1 percent shooting from distance.
Know the Foe
Pacific enters the final weekend of the season sporting a 13-14 overall record and a mark of 6-10 in league play. The Tigers are led by a trio of scorers, with Hailie Eackles' 13.0 points per game leading the way. Desire Finnie adds 11.7 points on .432 shooting and San Francisco GeAnna Luaulu-Summers contributes 10.7 points and 4.0 assists a night to go along with a WCC-leading 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Series Snippits
The Dons have the slim 17-16 lead in the all-time series, but Pacific has taken wins in six of the last eight meetings between the two teams. In the game at Stockton on Dec. 23, a stagnant second quarter sunk the Dons in the 70-57 loss heading into the Christmas holiday.Â
USF was led by a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double to go along with five steals for senior
Zhane Dikes.
Taylor Proctor added 10 points and nine rebounds, and
Claudia Price chipped in 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor in the loss. Â
Last Time Out
In the penultimate regular season home game, the San Francisco seniors began their farewell tour with a bang, leading the Dons to an 81-72 win over Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon from War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
The Dons' dynamic duo combined for 35 points and 24 rebounds on the day.
Taylor Proctor, a forward from Colorado Springs, Colo., finished with a game-high 25 points and nine boards, leaping to second in the USF career rebounding records. Las Vegas native
Zhane Dikes finished with 10 points and a career-high 15 rebounds, and became the Dons' all-time leader in free throws made as she swished her 418th attempt from the line in the fourth quarter.
Championship Seeding
Past BYU, the top of the league standings is still in a state of potential flux, with Santa Clara and Saint Mary's each sporting a 12-4 conference record. The Broncos and the Gaels meet Thursday for an inside track for the No. 2 seed. Santa Clara won the first meeting between the two, however neither team can guarantee the first day bye in the WCC Tournament unless San Diego loses at Gonzaga. No matter which team wins in Santa Clara on Thursday, a Toreros win in Spokane brngs the race for the 2-3-4 spots to the final day of the season.Â
Sitting midway through the table, a USF win over the Tigers will guarantee a top six finish for the Dons. Should USF stand pat at No. 6, the squad would face the No. 3 seed in the quarterfinal round at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 3. USF would then advance to play the winner of the No. 2 vs. No. 7/10 game. If the Dons jump to fifth in the standings, USF would meet up with the No. 4 seed on Thursday at 8 p.m., with the opportunity to advance to play the victor between BYU and the No. 8/9 game winner.
A Season of Success
The Dons have been on a steady upward trajectory during the Azzi Era, and USF is guaranteed to finish the year with a winning record.

Shooting 43.1 percent from the floor, the Dons have seven women over the .500-mark in true shooting percentage, which takes into account field goals, 3-pointers and free throws. As a team, the Dons have a true shooting percentage of 53.7, according to John Hollinger's formula.Â
Individually,
Raushan Gultekin (.608 ts%) leads the way, followed closely by
Taylor Proctor (.589 ts%) and
Claudia Price (.588 ts%).
Rachel Howard (.541 ts%),
Zhane Dikes (.537 ts%),
Anna Seilund (.531 ts%) all stand above .500 in the calculations. Albeit a small sample size, in freshman
Jaylin Jones' nine games of action, her true shooting percentage comes in at 98.2 percent, as she had her first misses of the season in USF's game against Santa Clara (4-5 fg, 3-4 3fg, 4-6 ft).
Triple Threat
USF is shooting .368 from long range on the season, good for 17th in the NCAA, and first in the WCC.
Individually,
Rachel Howard (.396/5th),
Anna Seilund (.385/8th) and
Taylor Proctor (.383/9th) all rate in the WCC's top 10 in 3-point percentage, and the Dons are one of three squads with multiple women on the list (Portland, Saint Mary's). Howard's tally is good for 48th in the nation.
70 - The Magic Number
The Dons are 14-1 on the season when scoring at least 70 points, with the loss coming at the hands of Utah Valley in a 94-88 overtime game on Nov. 23.
NCAA Active Career Leaders
Taylor Proctor currently stands as one of 15 women in the NCAA with at least 1,500 points and 800 rebounds. She is joined on the senior-laden list by defending NCAA Player of the Year Breanna Stewart (UConn), Shereesha Richards (Albany), Jillian Alleyne (Oregon), Courtney Williams (South Florida), Nathalie Fontaine (Ball State), Joy Adams (Iona), Erika Livermore (Fairleigh Dickinson), Brittney Martin (Oklahoma State), Talia Walton (Washington), Ruvanna Campbell (Ill.-Chicago), Kerry Kinek (Lehigh) and Katie Healy (St. Bonaventure). Michigan State's Aerial Powers, Nia Coffey of Northwestern and Nina Davis (Baylor) are the three juniors to join the list.
She ranks 37th among active Division I scoring leaders (1,670 points). She also lands in the top-50 among active players in field goals 609/37th) and double-doubles (23/42nd). Fellow senior
Zhane Dikes rates 18th in NCAA Division I in career free throw attempts (577) and 21st in makes (418).
USF Record-Setters
The senior duo of
Taylor Proctor and
Zhane Dikes both grace USF's 1,000-point scoring list of 21 women as well as the 20-member 500-rebound club. Dikes notched her 500th rebound in USF's final non-conference game of the season against San Francisco State.Â
Along with her distinction on the points and rebounds lists, Dikes became the USF all-time leader in minutes played in USF's game at Santa Clara on Jan. 23. She is averaging more than 33 minutes per game in her career wearing Green and Gold, and passed Rheina Ale ('08-12 - 3,755 minutes) and men's minutes leader Angelo Caloiaro ('08-12 - 3,781 minutes) to earn the new school record. In the Dons' last outing she also earned distinction as the program's leader in career free throws made (418).
Proctor leapt to second in career rebounding in USF's game against Loyola Marymount, and she stands in third on the all-time scoring lists. She is one of five women to rate in the top-10 in both categories. In the Dons' game at Pacific, she joined career-leader and Legend of the Hilltop Mary Hile-Nepfel as the second woman to reach the top five in both points and rebounds.
Individually,
Rachel Howard etched her name in the record books after swishing seven 3-pointers at Long Beach State. The seven triple mark in a game ties Andrea Kagie (at San Diego, 02/08/97) and Amy Touli (Northwestern State, 12/19/92).
